The National Center for Education Statistics estimates there were 37.4 million students between preschool and 8th grade enrolled in the fall of 2010.  With all of those students, there is a great need for help in all areas of the school.  Because people employed in teacher assisting careers can work in so many areas, their employment opportunities are set to rise 10% by 2018.  That’s 134,900 jobs!*
